What is CBD?
CBD, or cannabidiol, is one of the best studied cannabinoids found in the hemp plant. It is fully legal and safe. Colloquially, the acronym CBD is used to refer to CBD oils, but CBD is much more than the oils themselves.
CBD is the most common and best studied compound found in the hemp plant. Unlike THC - it is not a psychoactive compound. CBD is not addictive, has no side effects and does not interfere with motor skills. Moreover, it is a THC antagonist, meaning that it reduces the psychoactive effects of THC

CBD itself - the most popular and best studied cannabinoid shows many documented health-promoting effects. Laboratory studies confirm that CBD:
  • - supports concentration
  • - improves quality of sleep
  • - Supports the fight against depression and anxiety
  • - relieves inflammation
  • - relieves pain
  • - enhances post-workout recovery
It is worth remembering that CBD oil is not the same as hemp seed oil. Although one and the other product cause very positive effects in our body

CBD oil, through its properties and active ingredients, affects the functioning of our body thanks to a complex communication system in our body - called the endocannabinoid system (ECS). Hemp oil, on the other hand, or hemp seed oil, is a typical cooking oil very rich in micro and macronutrients and an ideal ratio of omega 3 and 6 acids

CBD oil, is hemp seed extract dissolved in a base oil, which can be, for example, hemp seed oil, olive oil or coconut oil. CBD, however, is the name of just one of the components of the oil popularly known as CBD oil; in addition to CBD, there are other priceless phytochemicals in top-quality oils.
Is CBD legal?
Yes, CBD is legal in Poland!
CBD is a compound that is fully legal. CBD products, in the form of oils, gums, candies, jellies, shakes, drinks, are legally allowed. The condition is to be cleared of the prohibited substance THC. So hemp products in which THC is not present are legal.

It's different when it comes to dried hemp for vaporization. Here, the Law of July 29, 2005. On Counteracting Drug Addiction and the Law of March 24, 2022. on amending the law on counteracting drug addiction, precisely define the level of contained THC to 0.3% on a dry weight basis

In all fairness, it should be emphasized that products that contain up to 0.3% THC do not have narcotic effects. Mention should also be made of Commission Regulation (EU) 2022/1393 of August 11, 2022, which amends Regulation (EC) No. 1881/2006 and introduces maximum levels for delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC) in foods. As Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1881/2006 reads, "maximum levels have been established for certain contaminants, including delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC), in foodstuffs."

- Hemp seeds - the maximum level of contaminants (mg/kg) in foodstuffs is 3.0

- Ground hemp seeds, (partially) defatted hemp seeds and other products processed/obtained from hemp seeds except for the products referred to in 8.6.3. - The highest permissible level of contaminants (mg/kg) in foodstuffs is 3.0

- Hemp seed oil - the maximum contaminant level (mg/kg) in foodstuffs is 7.5

After the inauguration of the EU regulation, if a product undergoes a composition analysis and the test shows that the product contains trace amounts of THC, but contained within the range scale, the product will meet the standards. It should be noted, however, that individual countries, including Poland, explicitly regulate THC under laws.
Can I drive after consuming CBD products?
Of course, what's more, regular intake of CBD strengthens the nervous system, immune system and many others. CBD also allows you to get better concentration, and therefore has an impact on positive mood.
June 1, 2022 Polish Press Agency, released a study published in the prestigious Journal of the American Medical Association. The study was led by the Lambert Initiative for Cannabinoid Therapeutics at the University of Sydney and conducted at Maastricht University in the Netherlands. Used medicinally, hemp-derived CBD (cannabidiol) does not impair driving ability, even in the highest medically used doses. Study results confirm that CBD calms and also relieves pain, but does not cause intoxication

CBD, according to many other studies, regulates all processes in the body, including those responsible for memory and concentration. CBD oil supplementation can balance dopamine levels - a neurotransmitter

responsible precisely for memory, attentiveness, logic and concentration.
Is CBD safe for children?
Yes, CBD can be taken safely by children. However, as with, any food, supplement or medication in the case of children, it is worth discussing this issue with your doctor.
Here are the most common reasons why parents supplement CBD in their children:
  • - to relieve or prevent nausea before a long car ride (this does not work for all children)
  • - As an alternative method of treating pain in its mild form (more severe pain should be treated in the classical way)
  • - To relieve anxiety in anxious or autistic children
  • - to improve the quality of sleep in children suffering from insomnia (sleep nightmares are a common cause)
  • - To relieve the symptoms of certain epileptic conditions (Dravet syndrome)
  • - to relieve coughing and relax chest muscles
  • - For inflammation and autoimmune diseases
The dose of CBD for a child should be consulted with a doctor, nutritionist or therapist and ranges from 2.5 to 10 mg depending on age and weight. Most reviews and studies show that CBD is safe and exceeding the recommended dose is unlikely to cause any side effects. However, it should be strongly emphasized that significantly exceeding the recommended amounts of CBD intake, in a small percentage of cases, can cause excessive drowsiness, dizziness, diarrhea or dry mouth. It is worth remembering that overconsumption of most foods can also have similar effects.
Can CBD be overdosed?
CBD is well tolerated, and an overdose is virtually impossible.
It is worth remembering that significantly exceeding the recommended dose, can cause symptoms such as
- increased drowsiness (it is recommended to consume CBD oil in the evening and in the appropriate dose)- temporary dry mouth,- stimulation or reduction of the feeling of hunger,- a slight decrease in blood pressure (people struggling with blood pressure problems should consult a doctor before taking it)

However, it should be noted that it is very difficult to exceed a safe dose of CBD - one would have to take much larger amounts than recommended on the product's packaging. It is also worth, taking into account the lack of conclusive research on recommendations in the use of CBD oil by pregnant women and lactating women.
Is CBD addictive?
No, CBD and the other ingredients in hemp products approved for sale are not addictive.
Since CBD (cannabidiol) is not psychoactive, it does not itself cause addiction

CBD affects the body's endocannabinoid system but has no intoxicating or addictive properties. Studies suggest it has a good safety profile and is well

Tolerated in doses ranging from 600 mg to 1,500 mg. Current research suggests that CBD is not addictive
According to the World Health Organization, in humans, CBD shows no effects indicating any potential for abuse or addiction. To date, there is no evidence of public health problems associated with the use of pure CBD
A study published in the Journal of Drug and Alcohol Dependence suggested that CBD has the same addiction potential as a placebo pill
Keep in mind, however, that many CBD products may contain some level of THC. The law requires hemp-derived CBD products to contain less than 0.3% THC. - The law does not allow 0.3% in products, only in the dry unprocessed mass - i.e., dried. This applies only to unprocessed products, and oils, jellies, candies, shotties, patches, etc.. These are processed products and therefore cannot contain THC.
Can CBD interact with drugs?
Just like most foods, supplements, herbs or over-the-counter medications.
Every component in the body is subject to decomposition. CBD and other phytocannabinoids, the active ingredients in hemp products, are metabolized in the liver by a number of cytochrome P450 isoenzymes, including CYP2C9, CYP2C19, CYP2D6 and CYP3A4

The metabolism of the following substances may be altered by interaction with CBD:
1,2- benzodiazepi naRisk or severity of side effects can be increased when cannabidiol (CBD) Is combined with a 1,2- benzodiazepine.
Abametapir The serum concentration of cannabidiol can be increased in combination with Abametapir.
Abatacept The metabolism of cannabidiol can be increased in the combination with Abatacept.
Abemacykli bCannabidiol may reduce the rate of excretion of abemacycline, which can result in a higher serum levels.
Abiraterone The metabolism of cannabidiol can be reduced in the combination with Abiraterone.
Acalabrutines bThe metabolism of cannabidiol can be reduced in the combination with acalabrutinib.
Acebutolol Cannabidiol may reduce the effects of The antihypertensive effects of acebutolol.
Aceclofenac The risk or severity of hypertension can be increase when Aceclofenac is combined with Cannabidiol.
Acemetacyn aMetabolism of acemetacin can be reduced in Combined with cannabidiol.
Acenocoumar olMetabolism of acenocoumarol can be reduced In combination with cannabidiol.
Concomitant use of CBD and drugs such as:
  • - leflunomide,
  • - lomitapid,
  • - mipomersen,
  • - pexidartinib,
  • - teriflunomide,
  • - Valproate, may increase the risk of liver damage.
CBD taken with tranquilizers such as:
  • - benzodiazepines,
  • - opioids, can cause severe respiratory depression.
CBD supplementation is also strongly discouraged with warfarin-based blood-thinning drugs. Absolute contraindications to CBD are also allergies to CBD cannabidiol, or any other ingredient in the product

In conclusion, if you are taking medication, consult your doctor about CBD supplementation. Remember, it's a good idea to watch for drug interactions with foods as well, especially citrus fruits, herbs and herbal mixtures, or over-the-counter medications and supplements.

Products containing CBD, can be helpful for certain conditions, as documented by numerous studies. The most important of these are anti-inflammatory, immune-enhancing, modulating the function of various receptors in the body, and protective.
There is scientific evidence supporting the health benefits of taking CBD, but it does not work for all conditions, as some may think. It has not been clinically confirmed that CBD cures cancer, but it reduces the swelling caused by its treatment

CBD shows analgesic effects, improves sleep disorders and reduces epileptic seizures in Lennox - Gastaut syndrome and muscle spasticity in multiple sclerosis, it also alleviates panic attacks and anxiety disorders

What does this symbol mean, with which we marked the selected Products available at HubShop24/7?
When it comes to these CBD products, choose your dosage wisely
Some of the products available in our vending machines may contain a minimum and acceptable concentration of THC - maximum 0.3%

Although you'll find mostly products with zero THC content, we've decided to mark the few that contain a minimal and acceptable amount of this compound

Answering a frequently asked question, when taking CBD products containing legal amounts of THC, can we be concerned about drug tests in our bodies? Your concerns may be minimized by the fact that in the vast majority of cases the answer is no

However, it is advisable to be extremely cautious in this case especially when getting behind the wheel and remember that drug tests detect not only THC, but also its metabolites, e.g.. THC-COOH. Thus, in exceptional situations, the effect of using unprocessed CBD products may be a false positive test result. This happens when the use of very large amounts of unprocessed products or RAW CBD oils with minimal THC content has occurred. That's why, just in case, we have marked all unprocessed
